Combination skin has patches of oily skin and patches of dry skin. Typically, the forehead, nose, and chin are oily (called the T-Zone), and the cheeks are drier. It is normal for the T-Zone to be somewhat oiler than the rest of the face. Sometimes the drier areas of skin are on the upper half of the face, and the oily areas of skin are on the lower half (jawline) of the face. It is common to experience acne in the oily patches making it difficult to find skin care products and treatments designed specifically to treat both oily and dry skin. Professional advice and skin care products are essential to restoring balance.
